P.A. Works' Aquatope of White Sand Anime reveals More Cast, releasing July 8
New Cast: Shimba Tsuchiya, Yōhei Azakami, Hiroshi Yanaka comes in "girl-meets-girl" teen story
On Friday, the official website for P.A. Works' original anime series Aquatope of White Sand (Shiroi Suna no Aquatope) announced more cast members, the second main visual, and the premiere date of July 8 for the "girl-meets-girl teen ensemble" anime.
New cast as follows :
Kai Nakamura, Kukuru's classmate and childhood acquaintance, is played by Shimba Tsuchiya. He assists his fisherman father by boarding a boat with him before sunrise and giving the Misakino family his catch of the day. He's been a longtime friend of Kukuru's and has worked at the Gama Gama Aquarium over the summer.
Kuya Yakamashi, a Gama Gama Aquarium employee, is played by Yhei Azakami. He talks plainly and seems to be sluggish, but he is very serious about his work. He has a hard time relating to girls his age and always avoids making eye contact with them. Since the aquarium is so short-staffed, he works long shifts that exhaust him. Kukuru's grandmother's umeshu is one of his favorites.
Kukuru's grandfather, the head of the Gama Gama Aquarium, is played by Hiroshi Yanaka. During his summer vacation, he entrusts the aquarium's day-to-day operations to Kukuru, while he attends to important aquarium business. He has a cheerful and friendly demeanor.
On July 8, the anime will air on Tokyo MX, BS Fuji, MBS, and Ryukyu Broadcasting.

Synopsis:-The anime is set in Okinawa's Gama Gama Aquarium, a small aquarium about an hour's bus ride from Naha. Kukuru Misakino, an 18-year-old high school student who works there, is aware of the aquarium's "secret": strange objects can be seen on occasion. Kukuru runs into Fuuka one day, who is standing in front of a water tank, her hair streaming and a tear rolling down her face. Fuuka has abandoned her dream of being an idol and fled to Okinawa from Tokyo. Fuuka earnestly requests to work at the aquarium in order to find a place to call home. The anime follows Kukuru and Fuuka as they struggle with the aquarium's secret and a looming crisis that could lead to its closure.
P.A. Works' anime is directed by Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler, IRODUKU: The World in Colors, A Lull in the Sea). Yuuko Kakihara (IRODUKU: The World in Colors, Digimon Adventure tri. films) is in charge of the series' composition, while Yuki Akiyama (IRODUKU: The World in Colors, The Eccentric Family 2) is in charge of animating the characters based on U35's (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) original designs.Akiyama is also the head of animation. The original work is credited to Project Tingala. The music is being composed by Yoshiaki Dewa (A Lull in the Sea, Flying Witch).
