On Thursday, the official website for the television anime adaptation of Zappon's Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita (Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside) light novel announced new cast members and a crucial visual (shown).Due to "different reasons," the anime will now show in October 2021 instead of July 2021, as originally planned.

At Wolfsbane and Studio Flad, Makoto Hoshino (Uta noPrince-sama Maji Love Revolutions) is directing the anime. The series is being composed by Megumi Shimizu (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...), while the characters are being designed by Ruriko Watanabe (Dame x Prince Anime Caravan).
Background :In October 2017, Zappon released the slice-of-life fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website. In June 2018, Kadokawa began publishing the series under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint, including Yasumo's drawings. On March 31, the eighth volume was released. The light novel's volumes have sold a total of one million copies.
