Dungeon of Black Company Anime's 3rd Promo Video released with July 9 Premier
On Wednesday, the official website for Yhei Yasumura's The Dungeon of Black Company (Meiky Black Company) television anime adaptation released a third promotional video. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and TV Aichi on July 9th, and will afterwards air on ABC TV, AT-X, and BS-NTV. The concluding theme music for the Humbreaders, "World is Mine," is also revealed and previewed in the video.The anime is directed by Mirai Minato (Masamune-Revenge, kun's Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya), and the series scripts are overseen by Deko Akao (Snow White with the Red Hair, Noragami, Flying Witch). The characters are being designed by Yuki Sawairi (Masamune-Revenge, kun's Wise Man's Grandchild), while the music is being composed by Taku Inoue at Toy's Factory.The show's opening theme song, "Shimi," will be performed by Howl Be Quiet (Stain).

The manga is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, and the following is a synopsis of the plot:
Kinji, who lacks any sort of work ethic, is a slacker in today's world. One day, he awakens in a different world–but not in a great daydream of a hero greeted with outstretched arms. He's thrown into a bad job right away! Kinji is set to be enslaved by an evil mining company in a fantasy land.
In December 2016, Yasumura published the manga on Mag Garden's Mag Comi website. In June 2020, the manga reached its climax with the 30th chapter, however Yasumura later announced that the comic was not yet finished.
