In March 2018, Akutami debuted the main manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga has sold 50 million copies worldwide, including print and digital editions. Akutami stated in February that manga will "most likely" end in two years. However, Akutami added that he does not believe that statement.
As part of its Jump Start initiative, Viz Media published the manga's first three chapters in English alongside Japan. When Viz switched to its new Shonen Jump model in December 2018, it began digitally publishing new chapters of the manga. The manga is also available on Shueisha's MANGA Plus website.
