Kaijin Kaihatsubu no Kuroitsu-san Villain Comedy Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

Hiroaki Mizusaki's manga Kaijin Kaihatsubu no Kuroitsu-san (Kuroitsu-san in the Superhuman Research & Development Department) is inspiring an anime adaptation, according to Flex Comics on Wednesday. The format and release date of the anime were not revealed in the announcement.

The manga focuses on Kuroitsu, an assistant researcher in Agastya's superhuman research and development department, a villainous secret organisation that battles heroes attempting to save the world. Kuroitsu leads a busy life in Agastya, caught between her bosses' absurd requests, making presentations, implementing new features into superhumans, and delivering results within the allotted time, budget, and spec requests; all without taking a vacation.

In April 2019, Mizusaki published the manga on Flex Comics' Comic Meteor website. On July 12, Flex Comic will release the manga's second compiled book volume.
