The second teaser for Spriggan Anime Series reveals a 2022 delay as well as additional staff.

On Friday, the official website for David Production's new anime series based on Hiroshi Takashige and Ryji Minagawa's Spriggan (Striker) manga began streaming a new teaser trailer, and Netflix is streaming an English-subtitled version of the teaser. The teaser reveals that the anime will be delayed until 2022. (the anime was previously slated to debut on Netflix this year). More staff members were also revealed on the website.

The anime is directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi (Rage of Bahamut Genesis assistant director, Kill la Kill episode director). Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Mob Psycho 100, Jujutsu Kaisen) supervises and writes the series scripts, while Shhei Handa (Little Witch Academia) designs the characters and serves as chief animation director.

The manga's plot revolves around Yu Ominae, a high school student who is also a Spriggan, an agent tasked by the ARCAM Corporation with preventing ancient relics of an advanced older civilization from falling into the hands of states and entities seeking to exploit them.

Takashige began writing the Spriggan manga with artist Minagawa in 1989. From 1998 to 1999, Viz Media released edited versions of three of the manga's eleven volumes as Striker in North America. In 1998, an anime film was based on the manga. The film was released in 2002 by ADV Films with an English dub.
