Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Manga Ends with Last 60th Episode

On July 16th, the final episode of the e-book service "comic POOL" will be the 60th episode of the popular web manga "Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, which has been adapted into a TV animation and a live-action film. The series ended after about 7 years after it was released. Despite the fact that the series has concluded, a spin-off has been created and will be published in "comic POOL." Details will be released in the near future.

In 2014, the serialisation of "Love is Difficult for Otaku" began. A clumsy romance between otakus who are serious game lovers and Hirotaka Nito, who can work with good-looking guys, and Narumi Momose, who hides her love for anime and manga, are drawn. Comics have a total circulation of over 12 million copies. On October 14th, the final 11 volumes of the comic will be released.

Story:
Narumi Momose has had it rough: every boyfriend she's had dumped her once they found out she was an otaku, so she's gone to great lengths to hide it. When a chance meeting at her new job with childhood friend, fellow otaku, and now coworker Hirotaka Nifuji almost gets her secret outed at work, she comes up with a plan to make sure he never speaks up. But he comes up with a counter-proposal: why doesn't she just date him instead? In love, there are no save points.

The manga was adapted into an 11-episode television anime series, which debuted in April 2018. The anime was available on Amazon Prime Video both inside and outside of Japan. In March 2019, the manga's seventh volume included the first original anime disc. On February 26, the second original anime disc was released alongside the 10th volume of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga.

In February 2020, a live-action film adaptation of the manga will be released in Japan. The film debuted at number one in its first weekend.
