Child of Kamiari Month Anime film's cast

In July of this year, the film was shown for the first time at the Anime Expo Lite event.

Kanna, the protagonist, is voiced by Aju Makita (live-action Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai's Kayo), who loses her love of running after her mother dies. Shiro, a one-winged rabbit messenger of the gods, is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto (Escaflowne's Hitomi, Fate franchise's da Vinci and Jeanne), and Yato, an oni boy, is voiced by Miyu Irino (Spirited Away's Haku, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE's Syaoran). Both appear before Kanna and accompany her to Izumo. The month of October is known as "Kannazuki" in the traditional Japanese calendar ("the month of no gods"). However, in Izumo, October is known as "Kamiarizuki" ("the month of gods") due to a legend that the gods of Japan gather at Izumo Shrine during this month.

Cretica Universal announced the project in March 2019, along with its first crowdfunding campaign. The crowdfunding campaign marked the start of the project's "first commit" from March to May 2019, with the second crowdfunding campaign from July to August 2019 serving as its "second commit." From April to June, the third crowdfunding campaign was active.

Tetsuro Satomi, a representative director of LIDEN FILMS, is the project's animation producer. The "creation director" is Kazuya Sakamoto, the director of She and Her Cat -Everything Flows. Toshinari Shinohe is in charge of planning and is credited with the original work, whereas Takana Shirai is credited with the original concept as well as being the animation director. The project's planners and producers are Michihiko Suwa (Detective Conan films) and Teppei Mishima. The character designer is Haruka Sagawa. The script is being written by Tetsur Takita and Ryta Miyake. The film's theme song, "Kanna," will be performed by singer-songwriter miwa.
