Luminous Witches Anime Reschedule from 2021 to 2022

Luminous Witches Anime's Reschedule from 2021 to 2022

The official website for the Renmei Kūgun Kōkū Mahō Ongakutai Luminous Witches (Allied Air Force Magical Idols Luminous Witches) television anime series announced on Friday that the anime's premiere date has been pushed back to 2022 due to "various circumstances." The anime was previously scheduled to debut this year.

The plot is a spinoff of the Strike Witches franchise, and it revolves around a unique squadron of "witches who don't fight." Instead, the squadron sings and performs music to keep the smiles of those who have been driven from their homes by the Neuroi.

Humikane Shimada created the new Witches' character designs. The original work is credited to Shimada and Projekt World Witches. Shouji Saeki (episode director and scriptwriter for Strike Witches and Strike Witches 2) is in charge of the anime's direction and series composition. The "Witches series literature" is credited to Shinya Murakami. The music is being produced by Kadokawa. The series is being animated by SHAFT.

The main cast of the anime formed an idol unit in 2019, and the first CD single, "Flying Skyhigh," was released in May 2020. On March 24, the third single was released.
