RetroCrush is a video-on-demand service that is free and ad-supported in the United States and Canada. In addition to browsers, the service is available on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, and smart TVs. The service will go live in March 2020. In July 2020, a free ad-supported television (FAST) version of RetroCrush was released via the STIRR streaming service.

The streaming service's goal, according to Digital Media Rights, is to "serve as a community built for the consumption and discussion of the Golden Age of Japanese animation, (and some not so retro), from the perspectives of pop culture, fandom, art, internet memes, and more."

The service will include a library of content that "hasn't received proper streaming releases outside of Japan."

Among RetroCrush's streaming partners are Discotek Media, TMS, NHK, Studio Pierrot, AMG, and Happinet.

On June 10, NBC Universal's Peacock streaming service added a RetroCrush 24-hour anime streaming channel.

On March 4, Pluto TV added a RetroCrush programming block to its 'Anime All Day' channel. On Thursdays and Saturdays, the channel has eight-hour RetroCrush blocks.
