Rurouni Kenshin Anime New Announced and First Teaser Released

This was reported in the "Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan / Hokkaido Edition" program delivered at Jump Studio RED of "Jump Festa 2022" held today on December 19th. Liden Films will produce the new animation. Stay tuned for more details.

"Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Kenkaku Romantan-" is an action historical drama serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. It was made into a TV animation in 1996, the movie version was released in 1997, and three OVAs were released from 1999. A live-action movie starring Takeru Sato has also been produced. Currently, the sequel "Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Kenkaku Romantan-Hokkaido Edition-" is being serialized in Jump Square (Shueisha).
