Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite Anime Adaptation Announced



Uotou's "Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite" has been announced as an anime adaptation. Production will be handled by Madhouse.


Chi. -It was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) in 2020 and reached its final installment in April of this year. It has been selected for numerous manga awards, including second place in the "Manga Grand Prize 2021," second place in the "This Manga is Amazing!

Synopsis:
The setting is 15th-century Poland. It was a time when heretical ideas lead those to who possessed such a mindset to being burned at the stake for their beliefs

The protagonist, RafaƂ, a child prodigy, is expected to major in theology, the most important subject at the time, at the university where he plans to skip a grade. One day, however, he comes across a mysterious man, and is now studying a possible "truth" in the midst of heretical thought!




Today's June 27 issue of Weekly Big Comic Spirits No. 30 (Shogakukan) carries a newly drawn illustration and comments by Uotou. Uotou said, "I am very happy. I remember well how I used to pass by Madhouse every week when I went to my friend's house in Nakano a few years ago. At the time, I never dreamed that I would be animated there. I am deeply moved. I'm looking forward to it. The eighth and final volume of the book is scheduled for release on June 30.
