'Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime' Anime Movie Announces Additional Staff

On Friday, Mamoru Hosoda's Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime (Belle) anime film's official website unveiled new cast members and a new visual (pictured). On July 16, the film will be released in Japanese theatres.

Staff as follows:

Character Design (Dragon): Kageichi Akiya

Animation Director (U): Takaaki Yamashita (Bakemono no Ko)

Animation Director, Character Design (Real World): Hiroyuki Aoyama (Summer Wars)

Art Director: Nobutaka Ike (Paprika)

Background Art: Joujo Anri (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki)

CG Director: Ryou Horibe (Mirai no Mirai), Youhei Shimozawa (Doraemon Movie: Nobita no Takarajima)

At Studio Chizu, which he co-founded in 2011, Hosoda is writing and directing the film. The music director and composer is Taisei Iwasaki (Kekkai Sensen, Hisone to Maso-tan). The protagonist Belle was planned by Jin Kim (Frozen, Big Hero 6) and the film is directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart (Wolfwalkers) from the Irish studio Cartoon Saloon.

Earlier this month, the supporting cast for Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime was revealed, which included YOASOBI vocalist Rira Ikuta.
