Blue Reflection Ray Anime Reveals New Video for Show's 2nd cour

On Saturday, the official Twitter account for Blue Reflection Ray, the television anime adaptation of Gust's Blue Reflection (Blue Reflection - Maboroshi ni Mau Shjo no Ken) role-playing game, released a trailer for the show's second season (quarter of a year). ACCAMER will also perform the show's new ending theme song "fluoresce," according to the Twitter account. The song, as well as Eir Aoi's new opening theme song "Atokku," is preview in the video below.

The anime debuted on April 9 and will run for two seasons. The anime is being streamed live by Funimation as it airs in Japan. The show's Blu-ray Disc releases in Japan have been cancelled for "various reasons," according to the staff.

The anime is directed by Risako Yoshida (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, Diabolik Lovers More, Blood). The series scripts are being written and overseen by Akiko Waba (EUREKA SEVEN AO, A Lull in the Sea, Lostorage incited WIXOSS). Mel Kishida's original character designs are being animated by Koichi Kikuta, the sound director is Yoshikazu Iwanami, and the music is being composed by Daisuke Shinoda at Magic Capsule. The first opening theme song, "DiViNE," is performed by EXiNA. The first ending theme song, "Seishin," is performed by ACCAMER (Deepest).

In North America and Europe, the game was released in September 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. In Japan, the game was released in March 2017 for the PS4 and PlayStation Vita.

Mel Kishida (Sound of the Sky, Hana-Saku Iroha, Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland) designed the characters for the game and was also credited as supervisor, while series scripts were handled by Keiichi Sigsawa (Kino's Journey, Allison), Yusaku Igarashi (Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu), and Kōji Natsumi (Hazakura ga Kita Natsu, Girly Airforce).

Blue Reflection Sun for smartphones and Blue Reflection Tie for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam are the latest additions to the franchise. Blue Reflection Tie will be released in English as Blue Reflection: Second Light.
