Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Anime Adaptation Announced

A TV anime adaptation of Haza Kazutake's "Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence" has been decided.

The story is set in a fantasy world and follows a cute but self-defeating saint and an overprotective, good at cooking, and insensitive pastor in an "unaware flirtation love comedy. It has been serialized in Shonen Magazine R (Kodansha) since 2017, and will also be serialized in the manga app Magazine Pocket from 2019. The latest 10th volume of the book was released today, June 16.

The TV anime is directed by Sumie Noro, with series composition by Yuka Yamada, character design by Hiromi Nakagawa, and animation production by Animation Studio. Director Noro commented, "I am trying to carefully express such a gentle and warm atmosphere in the anime that makes you want to watch over the characters even though they are frustrating. In addition, an illustration drawn by Kazutake, the author of the original story, was also released to commemorate the TV anime adaptation.
