Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni Movie Trailer Released



A special trailer for the animated film "Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni" based on the story by Nao Iwamoto, has been released. It was also announced that Kento Kaku and Minami Hamabe will play the roles of Naranbayar and Saara, respectively.


Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni is a fantasy set in two countries that are at odds with each other. The story unfolds when the two antagonistic countries, the calm princess Saara and the young architect Naranbayar, meet by chance and fall in love while playing the role of husband and wife for the future of their countries. It was published in the monthly Flowers (Shogakukan) and ranked No. 1 in the Onna (female) section in "This Manga is Amazing! 2017.

The 45-second special newsreel video begins with a chance encounter between Naranbayar and Saara. The film shows the rich changes in their facial expressions as they become aware of each other through various events. The narration is by Souma Saito, who is an avowed fan of Iwamoto's works.

Comments were also received from Garai and Hamabe. Kaku said, "The clumsiness and straightforwardness of Nalan and Saara will definitely touch the hearts of those who see the film. I couldn't stop my heart from palpitating as I was acting." Hamabe added, "I felt like my heart was wrapped up in a warm story and I was given a share of the tender feelings. The images and music were so beautiful that I couldn't help but let out a sigh of admiration while dubbing. I remember feeling the joy of being involved in this work and struggling with the help of everyone on the production staff. The animated film "Land of Gold, Land of Water" will be released nationwide in the spring of 2023.
